The day, night, and elevation textures used to render the globe are based on NASA's Blue Marble / Visible Earth imagery.
Planetary maps
The Mars and Moon surface textures are by Solar System Scope, licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0.
Star maps
The Milky Way and star background comes from Deep Star Maps 2020 by the NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center Scientific Visualization Studio, built on Gaia DR2 (ESA/Gaia/DPAC).

Place search is powered by Komoot's Photon geocoding service, built on data from OpenStreetMap contributors.
Event summaries
Background information shown for notable events is fetched from Wikipedia.
