Saturn V
The three-stage rocket NASA built to send astronauts to the Moon, still the tallest and heaviest rocket ever to fly successfully. Its first stage burned kerosene in five F-1 engines, the two upper stages liquid hydrogen in J-2 engines. Between 1967 and 1973 it flew 13 times without losing a payload, including every crewed Apollo lunar mission and the launch of Skylab.
